Canonical Drops Support for Kubuntu

Jonathan Riddell sadly announced a few hours ago that Canonical will no longer support his work on the famous Kubuntu operating system, starting with Kubuntu 12.10.

Canonical intends to treat Kubuntu like any other Ubuntu derivative, such as Xubuntu, Lubuntu or Edubuntu, supporting them with infrastructure. Therefore, if you guys care about the future of Kubuntu, this is a very goood time to step up and join the community, helping Kubuntu stay alive!
