Canonical also unveiled the first Beta release of the upcoming Edubuntu 13.10 (Saucy Salamander) operating system, which is also the first development version of Edubuntu 13.10. Except from the fact that Edubuntu 13.10 Beta 1 includes the 3.11.0.4 Ubuntu Linux kernel, which is based on the upstream Linux 3.11 RC7 kernel, there are no other visible changes in this release.
