Pear OS 8 Beta 3 Is Now Available for Testing

On October 3, David Tavares has announced the immediate availability for download and testing of the third and last Beta release of the upcoming Pear OS 8 Linux operating system.

Pear OS 8 Beta 3 uses Linux kernel 3.8.0 and it's based on the unstable branch of Debian GNU/Linux and on the Ubuntu 13.04 (Raring Ringtail) operating system. The following applications have been updated in this third Beta version of Pear OS 8: My Pear 6, Pear Security, Pear Contacts, Pear Cloud, Pear Updater, and Pear Icons theme.
