Sendmail working on sender authentication in war on spam

Sendmail, Inc., which claims that more than 60 percent of the world's email traffic runs on its messaging servers, announced Monday that it is developing and promoting sender authentication technologies that are designed to prevent email address spoofing, forging, and email fraud. The open source technology will follow Sendmail's milter (mail filter) plug-in framework.
