Apple has given Windows and OS X users the joy of watching the kind of programming, with music and video, that has left many of us in the Linux world drooling with envy.

In the Linux world, what do we really have? The fantastic player, known as amaroK, with a limited selection of music from Magnatune? It was an idea long since overdue, but unfortunately I’m sad to see that the only two contenders with any real shot of making a real difference with non-DRM, indie content remain completely oblivious.
