If you have a favourite mouse that has worn out feet, and you don't want to throw out the mouse for a new one (and help save the planet, etc. etc.), here's a company that has just the right kind of teflon tape for the job: CSHyde, com in Illinois (http://cshyde.thomasnet.com/viewitems/tapes-with-psa/fat-ptf...). I purchased a 5-yard roll of half-inch teflon adhesive tape for only $11. Including the shipping to Canada it cost $~15. Installed the tape yesterday on the problematic mice and they work like new. :-) (I have no financial interest in this company.)

So what thickness did you get? The .020 seems quite a bit too thin for this application, and I don't have calipers to see how thick the pad is on my mouse at present.

Sounds like I could use this for dobsonian scope mounts

Cool stuff! Thanks beirwin, I can think of a lot of uses for teflon tape. Mic clips and stands, tripods, all kindsa things that hold other things and get worn over time.

Here is exactly what I purchased :

Item # 15-20A-.5-5 .020" FAT PTFE w/ Acrylic Adh. .5 5 yds $10.67 (U.S)

Here is the link to the "FAT" PTFE-Teflon-Tape page for other offerings:

The .020" is perfect for my Logitech MouseMan 3-button mouse.

Just make them out of a old cd, cut them little bigger than needed then grind them down to proper size and super glue them on to the bottom of the mouse, http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/6673/dsc00315y.jpg

Buying teflon tape sounds a lot easier then scan2006's suggestion. My time is worth more than the cost of admission.

So, when the old feet wear off and pieces fall off, are those mouse droppings?
