Radical New Approach to Desktop Linux

The first public alpha release of Symphony OS is now available. Symphony OS is a Debian/KNOPPIX-based desktop distribution with some radical ideas about ease of use; see screenshots for some interesting images of the "Mezzo" desktop. Alpha 3 has been released for public testing: "I have seeded a torrent file for Alpha 3. Please be sure to read the trademark policy here before downloading Symphony OS. Please note: this is alpha quality code and known to be buggy." If you are interested in helping to test the release or simply curious about this new Linux distribution, you can download the ISO image via BitTorrent
