Netline Internet Service, makers of the world’s leading open source collaboration server, announced today that it has transferred the intellectual property, trademarks, URL’s, branding and marketing rights to Open-Xchange Server from Netline to New York-based Openexchange Inc.

Olpe, Germany/Tarrytown, NY – June 14, 2005 – Netline Internet Service, makers of the world’s leading open source collaboration server, announced today that it has transferred the intellectual property, trademarks, URL’s, branding and marketing rights to Open-Xchange Server from Netline to New York-based Openexchange Inc. Under a multi-year contract, Netline will continue to provide development services for Openexchange and has been designated as an Open-Xchange reseller.

Open-Xchange Server enables easy migration and integration to an open source environment – allowing IT administrators to create and implement killer-apps without changing existing infrastructure components, i.e. databases, directory services, message transfer agents, e-mail servers or web-servers

“Moving the company headquarters to the United States made sense for us -- it gives us improved access to growth capital and a better finger on the pulse of the U.S. market,” said Frank Hoberg, CEO, Netline Internet Service. “The heart and soul of Open-Xchange will remain in Germany – along with our core development team – but we expect exponential growth in the U.S. in the very near term and this move will help us to realize that. Unfortunately, the company name “Netline” was not available in the U.S., so we decided to focus the brand going forward. We were able to purchase the URL, [HYPERLINK@www.openexchange.com] and register the company name, Openexchange Inc., in Delaware.”

About Openexchange Inc. Based in Tarrytown, NY, Openexchange Inc. (www.openexchange.com) is the world’s leading Linux-based groupware, collaboration, and messaging provider. Openexchange’s flagship product, Open-Xchange Server, comes in a free open source version, OX 0.8, and a commercial version, Open-Xchange 5.0. Olpe, Germany-based Netline Internet Service has been developing java-based, three-tier web applications since 1996 and continues to be the contract developer of Open-Xchange. Netline also provides the core collaboration engine for SUSE LINUX Openexchange Server. Netline is also a licensed reseller of Openexchange Inc.
