With literally hundreds of Linux distros available today, it can be a daunting task in choosing one for daily use. This distro is destined to be named "distro of the year".

It happened as expected...the release of PCLinuxOS .92. Not a lot of fanfare, I didn't even see the marching band, but there is the distro on the download mirrors.
I discovered (later than most) PCLinuxOS at test 2 of this version. I was amazed that it loaded (as a live CD) so quickly and offered so much in the way of programs. I downloaded test 3 and used it as an install and found it quite appealing.
Now the final is here and I would encourage you to give it a try! I downloaded and burned the CD, however it was late at night and I decided I would wait til morning to install. It would be the first install on a new hard drive.
