The number of bugs has no relationship to the severity of the flaws. Which browser provides a broad smooth road directly into the guts of the operating system? Which browser pioneered picking up malware merely by visiting Web sites? Which browser is so "integrated" into the OS that it cannot be uninstalled by ordinary means, and provides a vector for other applications to also infect system files? Hint: it ain't Firefox.

The number of pro-MSFT mainstream news articles has no relationship to the quality of the software. Clearly.

Most pro-MSFT mainstream news articles are product placements by Wagg Ed, no? The mainstream press and the trade press gave up on truthful reporting on MSFT about 15 years ago. Wagg Ed and MSFT have carefully managed relationships with all major PC "reporters". This is all reasonably well documented. That's why a clear liar like Bill Gates makes it into Discovery Channels "100 most import americans" or on the cover of "Time" as man of the year, etc etc.

Apples and oranges. MSIE is not on a fast track development/release cycle. Ffox is.

You simply can't compare something that moves at a snail's pace with the cheetah (or I suppose.. a fox!).

Given those parameters, MSIE (apart from interpretation.. of which all comments are very valid) has had way more problems than the most recent release of Ffox.
