What a fracking useless piece of FUD.... EDC really knows how to design a poll. |

Ummm.... In the enterprise space, you tend to see java and .Net, with old perl code being converted. |

"In the enterprise space"... Unfortunately, I know what that means, but I don't understand their fascination with Java in particular - all the flaws of C++ and all the flaws of an interpreted language, plus the weasel justification of "portability" with all the ability to make it unportable. Why use languages with such demonstrated low productivity? My only supposition is that the programmers in "the enterprise space" don't care - they actually hate their jobs, and they hate writing programs. |

My point was that IBM, Oracle, SAP and Intel sales failures seem to be the point of this 'poll' , and, not what is really happening in the marketplace, or, what the prefered programming trend is. That might have been interesting and perhaps useful. |
