I was surprised, and after much thought, pleased to see Apple switch to the x86 architecture. The x86 may not be as well thought out, but competition and volume had given it great price/performance value. But, then I found out about the DRM Apple is building into the boxes. I don't suppose I will know how it really works until we see shipping boxes. If they only use it to keep OSX from running on generic x86 hardware, then I will think Apple is short-sighted, but I'll have no real problem. If they use it to keep other software and OSes from running on Apple hardware, I'll never buy another Apple computer. |

Their thinking this way has only cost them 70% of the personal computer market. What a great strategy they have, think? |
