...if there's anyone at Microsoft who actually understands what security means. If a user has to give explicit permission several times to delete a shortcut from his/her own desktop then it would suggest they haven't understood at all. It amazes me how something so obvious and relatively simple could get so mangled. Within how many days of its (eventual) release will we hear the first screams of horror from compromised users? Within the first month I reckon. |

Kinda makes me question the widely-held assumption that says Microsoft is staffed from top to bottom with great talent, except for a few inexplicably powerful yet stupid managers who overrule all those thousands of smart people. |
