While I don't advocate destroying business opportunities, I applaud initiatives that level artificial leg ups. Apple shouldn't benefit their iPod branch by tightly coupling it with the iTunes store. If iPod's are all they are cracked up to be, they should be able to gain market leadership on their technical merits, not by artificial itunes preference. If iTunes is all the rage, they should be able to maintain leadership without artificially floating on iPod exclusively. |
