I'm not complaining exactly, but I just noticed something. I run the Firefox Web Developer plugin, so I have a nice little icon that indicates whether FF is rendering a page in "Standards Compliance Mode" or "Quirks Mode". A page does not have to be perfectly w3c compliant to render in compliance mode, just close. Here are the results of visits to various site main pages:

http://www.zdnet.com : Compliance http://www.yankeegroup.com : Compliance (Laura DiDio) http://www.firestarsoftware.com : Compliance (RedHat patent suit plaintiff) http://www.macromedia.com : Compliance http://www.linspire.com : Compliance http://www.windowsxpmagazine.co.uk : Compliance http://www.mcafee.com : Compliance http://www.aol.com : Compliance http://www.sun.com : Compliance http://www.dowchemical.com : Compliance http://www.lxer.com : Quirks Mode

Well, we can take solace in the fact that LXer is not alone. microsoft.com and sco.com render in quirks mode too.

Don't you see the secret plan here? LXer's going to embrace SCO and Microsoft, after which we will extinguish them.

Yes. After we achieve World Domination(r) we can start making our html incompatibilities slightly *different* from their incompatibilities. They won't stand a chance!!!
