"Because Sakai is open source, the code is not as robust. We find bugs in the system, [but] we have to deal with it," Stein, the technology director, said. The opensource software I use is more robust than the proprietary software that it replaced. Perhaps it's not as robust because it's a young program, not an opensource program. I would like to see my school move to this software though, that would be cool, WebCT is junk. |
