I can just see the customers now. "Why yes, I dearly love that I've been locked out of my computer because MS' registration software incorrectly detected that my copy of Windows was illegitimate, even though it came with the computer I bought at CompUSA. What could be more satisfying than to know that MS is 'getting tough' on me. Yeah, that's it! Tough love!"

Are all MS customers that stupid? I keep wondering 'how long can he keep doing this before everyone heads for the door'??? Even battered wives have their limits.

Personally I think Steve Ballmer is on the right track. he should keep working on stopping piracy. It will eventually increase sales.... for someone.
