that matters much is run Windows software, and even that's not a total washout. Desktop Linux has two major problems, neither of which is a Linux problem per se: 1. Lots of people have Windows programs that are attached to for one thing or another, and 2. Just not enough Linux-savvy, user-savvy, good communicators around for moral and technical support. More of 2 would go a long way towards fixing 1. WINE is doing more and more towards 1. More and more software is available on both, which also addresses 1. |
