Like malaria it comes and goes. You can go a long time between boughts, but when it hits you you will be reduced to a quivering mass of live cd burning jello.

That's right I'm talking about that accursed sickness that strikes Linux users:

Distro Fever!

You'll be desperate to get your hand on as many obscure live and install cds as you can. You'll be reformatting and installing so fast your chest will ache and your hands will shake with every mouse click.

Then it goes away for a while. It could be months, even years.

It will strike you again.

When it strikes Steve we'll get a string of new distro reviews from him!

I remember distro fever. I don't know if I'll ever have it again or not, but I really don't have any desire to try out any new distros like I used to. I suppose I'll try on Lenny, but that's it. I have Mandriva at home, and I am now dual-booting the work laptop with Red Hat and Mandriva (Red Hat because things like VMWare Workstation and Citrix are built with it and its slightly moldy kernel in mind,). Beyond that...have fun!
