Item 1: "who he is and where is is writing adds a certain gravitas" I remember way back in '90 something being pleasantly surprised when someone changed their resolution without needing to reboot. My friend told me he heard some VP at Microsoft had decreed "anything that forces me to reboot is a bug" and I thought "How nice. We don't get decent treatment until it's something that annoys a VP". Item 2: "Professional Developer Conference later this month, where Microsoft will also be giving away copies of Windows 7 for free" Free as in gratis. Devoid of freedom. |
