File type recognition by file extension is evil. There are muc better ways. Besides that, there already exist a universal commandline unpacker that does exactly what this script tries to do, but then properly: "unp".

Just `aptitude install unp` and then `unp your.archive.file`. The unp program can automatically use any and all unpackers that you have on your system (unrar, unzip, gunzip, untar, etcetera, etcetera).
