How about this:

The system is a tool. The programs that run on it are tools. They are not good or evil.

And if Half Life can be used to help train firefighters over Jack Thompson's idiotic protestations, then DeCSS and DSA and Nmap and-and-and all this other Freedom Software that runs so fine on Freedom Software just might have good applications after all.

Yeah, it's a stretch, but not to the point of snapping in two.

Well, HL1 via steam does run fairly well in crossover games and wine (sometimes - if your particular wine setup is being nice). Don't know about HL2 as I don't have it. So there's your Linux link. :P

I agree with tuxchick, a model of a San Francisco made with the Quake engine would be a much better story...

Well, since real Linux users like to learn how their environment works rather than sitting slack-jawed and passive until it's too late to do something, the designers obviously realize Linux users are likely to already know where the fire exits are and how to use them...
