Notice all anecdotal quotes, no hard numbers anywhere. From upstarts and nobodies. Whereas, MS spokes people have unequivocally claimed 96% of the net book market. A startlingly comeback from near zero in 2007. Now who are you going to believe, Works With Someone or MS? Also remember how many returned their Linux junkers, from a reputable source in net book market (or soon to be) and so unlike their projected experience with Windows equipped units. Forget Linux, forget Ubuntu (but Debian is still best for servers*).

You know what side I am on.

Not only that, Ubuntu is not brown, it's ORANGE.

Well, Ubuntu 9.04 is kinda burnt orange. I kinda 1/2 jokingly suggested to someone the other day that I should do a "Longhorn Remix" for those of us in the Austin, TX area... UT would probably sue me for trademark infringement though.

Brown is just orange with reduced saturation and value. They're the same hue.

@tuxchick Well, I don't know about just "Longhorn" but it associated with burnt orange, and for sure "UT" or the longhorn logo... It would sort of limit what one could do with desktop themes in order to be completely risk free.

I'd say they'll have to have a discussion with Tennessee about that before they get to anyone else. And in any case, the University of Texas trademark would be specific to collegiate sports and other collegiate activities.

tc,

Every color system has its primary colors, but there are a finite number if color systems. That still leaves an infinite number of non-primary colors.
