http://www.salon.com/tech/giga_om/gadget_gurus/2009/08/24/ch... Take heart, it's only Windows CE and this announcement contains a smidgen of review about browsing that is NOT laudatory. Quoting: " ... Windows CE 5.0 is the platform in residence, and as expected, the reviewer ran into a less-than-stellar web browsing experience."Here is the location of the cited review: http://www.shanzai.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=art... Comes with an ARM CPU and a 7" screen and supposedly even with Windows long battery life between recharging. I did not read the expanded review, because of my own limited interest in this device's form factor. Nonetheless, I am still bewildered that in the first instance the wrong choice in OS was the default. I should note the price, in China, was less than $100. Thus, I would expect a higher retail price when the units hit the States. |
