Hopefully the cash leads to a better Linux. Which is a good thing (even if my OS of choice is a BSD).

I will just re-set my search default to Google, since Yahoo uses Bing.

Bang Bing in the Bung until it goes Bong!

Boycott Bing!

I use neither.

I use Ixquick and Scroogle Scraper. The first one do not record IP address at all, the other one deletes after 48hours. The former have SSL optionally and the later SSL by default.

This strikes me as a Faustian bargain. Yahoo! turned over two Chinese activists, who then received lengthy prison sentences. Their greed and gutlessness is disgusting.

Google at least has considered pulling out of China altogether, rather than continue to help the Chinese government pursue its repressive policies.

The idea that Ubuntu may be contaminated with blood money is unsettling to me.

Then let Canonical know, I suggest.
