I love Apple's description on their site:

Yeah, it does some interesting things (multitouch display, etc.). But it's nothing special. It's a DRM ridden, locked down, audio/video format restricted (I laughed at how few formats it supports) hybrid between a table pc, iPod, and iPhone - that can't make calls. |

The real question is: can I use it to pad my @ss? PS. If Fujitsu decided to sue for the name iPad, which I don't think they would because the name is horrible, they should just let Apple have it. It is not as bad of a marketing decision compared to 'JooJoo' though. |

The iPad is priced at $US499, that's $AU557.34 about the same price as Windows powered netbooks in Australia, Linux powered ones can be purchased for $AU399.00 - 1 gig RAM ($US357.34) including shipping to anywhere in Australia ($AU441 with 2Gig RAM) same machine withj Windows 7 Home Premium, and no extra software $AU594.00 + MS Office Home and Student goes up to $777.00. Naturally the Linux version already has an Office package pre installed. |
