Two concerns for Stalin besides its decision to possibly banish GCC and other GPL'd components into Exile:
(1) Stalin's dictatorial insistence on having that monolithic kernel rule with an iron fist over all modules and userland
(2) Stalin's Politbural directory hierarchy decidedly differing from the FHS standard. Since the top-level Suckless maintainer has readily concentrated his distro's power at the top, his setting up of a veritable Iron Curtain (1) helps ensure that effective changes in Stalin will occur less rapidly than in truly "Free" distributions (pending the dictator's constant Purging of Dissident, "malperforming" software). |
