Determining SATA port multiplier support?

Anyone happen to know if there's an easy way to tell if your mobo or other controller SATA/eSATA ports support port multipliers? (without finding one and hooking it up) I'm assuming my Promise SATA300 TX4 doesn't, but it would be nice to know for sure on it and on my board itself for when I start seriously considering external storage options (like those nice 4-drive enclosures that use a port multiplier to hook up to a single eSATA port). |
