I've grown fond of openvz, and have been impressed with its performance. I don't know of another virtualization solution that comes close in terms of efficiency, with the exception of solaris zones, which are extremely similar to linux containers. I had been disappointed to see that ubuntu had dropped openvz from 10.04 and was pushing the incomplete, half-baked lxc implementation of containers. That's fine for folks who want to experiment with the concepts, but they should have given the option of using openvz as well. At any rate, I'll be trying this out to check out the performance and stability - |
