If you look at the course, it's not really "free" as you can sign up for the course with or without the laptop cost. |

Yes, but if you look at the class itself: Linux System and Network Administration Bootcamp FEE : $1499 (includes all class materials and Linux laptop). This class is also available without the option of the laptop for $900. (the Fundamentals class doesn't list a no-laptop option though) |

Clearly it's not a loss leader, or even sold at cost to help the student get set up. The object is obviously to make as much profit as humanly possible. I wonder how many laptops they actually sell, selling them at full retail. |
