I wonder if CentOS would have made the top two a couple of years ago? It was my favorite server and lab workstation OS. I've replaced it with Ubuntu server but considering the move to Debian. |

I find it interesting that Carla doesn't mention that elephant of elephants in the room, CentOS. A point of order regarding why CentOS and Scientific Linux are not even mentioned would be welcome. I would have said that they're not "community" distros because developer-wise they're pretty much a small crew. That's true of Slackware as well, so that's not the reason. |
