Here's one for you, what do you when you've got a win 7 specific laptop (like my Acer) with a resolution like 1380 x something or other. I found that only older re-spins of 'Buntu 10.04 . can actually work. No more cheap laptops for this guy......... |

Enable debug logging in your Xorg server, and you'll see what EDID information the video circuitry is sending back to the card. The server should be able to compute the timing information from the EDID, if it hasn't been configured to ignore it in favor of a built-in default. |
