It may have figured that since most cloud services so far are based on and dominated by FOSS technology, they pretty much decided on, "if I can't monopolize it, then no body should have it".

As I have been telling everyone here that will listen, MS is really NOT that bad. Indeed they are good guys. But what is thrown at me? Approximate rendition: "Another shilling astorturfing liar" - that's what.

Now eat your words. Here is MS doing the right thing, albeit for the wrong reasons. However, you must remember the verity that it is the Ends that count, not the Means*.

what is that right thing they are supposedly doing? dismissing cloud-computing as a concept? i don't really see that in the article. seems more of a case of a pot calling the kettle black. and as far as doing the right thing for the wrong reasons, i'd be concerned, because it is unlikely that the reasons ever change and whatever is done for those reasons can't be good in the long run, even if you have the impression that they are helping you this time. but i may be missing something and they may be really objecting to cloud-computing in general, even so, what is to stop them from changing that? remember, they are doing it for the wrong reasons, and those reasons are equally capable of backing cloud-computing, which i am sure they will do as soon as they can figure out how to benefit from it.

greetings, eMBee.

By highlighting what they are accusing Google of doing will also open the eyes of corporations/users to what they themselves could be doing in their cloud services.

With a reputation such as theirs, It is even more probable.

@mbaehrlxer

Unless I'm badly mistaken, "YBT" is an acronym for "You've Been Trolled".
