?? From the newswire, this shows 4 posts but I only see tc's 2. I am guessing that is what her second post is about.

Perhaps the other posts were banned too?

About 3 of my posts disappeared into thin air.

The front page currently says 6 posts, the story page says 3 replies (4 posts) -- I was assuming that some deleted spam was getting counted.

Two of my comments didn't make it either.

I don't think they were banned or lost, they were simply not saved in DB due to Lxer being in transition and DB was set in read-only mode.

Fettoosh, you are exactly correct. LXer moved over the weekend to a new data center and to new servers. Some forum posts were not correctly handled during the transition. If your post was lost this weekend you can just resubmit it.

I hope everyone enjoys the new and snappier site.

"What a joke."

I, for one, am not laughing.

Protection racket indeed, and very much in character. The consumer loses again.

The only one laughing is Microsoft. :(

They won't be laughing for long. Similar to their case against Barnes & Nobel, but the difference here won't be an agreement to obscure MS patents failure.

Quoting: Recent Update

Microsoft sued Motorola in 2010, accusing the company that it violates 9 patents. Among these, two have been eliminated in the lawsuit and about other six it’s been concluded that are not violated. Unlike Apple, which wants to block its opponents in order to sell more, Microsoft aims for licensing its technologies by other companies.

Failure? It only takes one patent being upheld for them to collect large sums of money. I wouldn't call that a failure. I also wouldn't count on a "Presidential review" during an election year. (Generic statement, not a commentary on any one President or party.) I just hope there is a reasonable appeals process available which can produce better results.

yes failure, having 8 out of 9 patents thrown out and the last one being reviewed to either invalidated or replace any infringement accounts as failure.

Not being able to collect coercively, or forcing Motorola to back down and pay like all others, and not having a contract yet to cover up all that is a big failure.

I doubt Google is going to accept any middle ground with MS.

Which is really needed to stop so far an unchallenged patent bully.
