Mir is nowhere near ready. For now it is just a barely working shim underneath X.org and X.org is still rendering everything. Only the final picture (pre-rendered by X.org) is what Mir throws on the screen. Even Unity(7) itself is still X11 dependent and also runs on this X-on-Mir shim. Ubuntu users are in for a world of pain. |
