How to block Facebook in a network

I'm the administrator of a few local school networks in South France. Since Facebook is using HTTPS, filtering it with Squid+SquidGuard can be quite tricky. After quite a bit of experimentation, I found a perfect solution, which I've documented here:

Do you have an English version of that? I could run it through Google Translate, but I suspect it would be less than satisfactory, and it sounds like a good article to review.

Basically, if you catch someone at the school going to Facebook, you hit them with a squid.

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but a pound of cure is more fun (to pound them with).
