Intel plans to end legacy BIOS support by 2020

Intel’s Brian Richardson announced the move in a recent presentation (PDF link). In slightly more technical terms, Intel will require UEFI Class 3 or higher, which lacks legacy BIOS support. Note that this doesn’t mean “Secure Boot” will be mandatory.

Wandboard.org launches i.MX8M-based SBC with RPi expansion

Technexion’s Wandboard.org unveiled open source “Wand-Pi-8M” SBCs that run Linux on a quad-A53 i.MX8M, and offer WiFi/BT, GbE, HDMI 2.0, and a 40-pin RPi link.
