1. BETTER MOZILLA ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Featured Extension: Tabbrowser Extensions

This smart extension allows you to customize almost everything you may think about tabs. You can get all new windows to open as tabs; drag and reorder tabs; reload tab contents automatically with the frequency you prefer (this is very useful for web based e-mail clients or news/sports lovers); lock tabs so any link will open in a new tab (or window); highlight a tab by changing its tab text background color; set permissions on each tab for JavaScript, frames, plugins and images; save this permission with bookmarks; and much, much more. All of this with a few clicks in an enhanced and customizable tab context menu.

You can't go wrong with this extension. Download and try Shimoda Hiroshi's little monster at:

Mozilla Links Tip: Bookmark a Set of Web Pages (contributed by Percy Cabello)

Do you have a group of favorite websites you load every morning as your try to wake up completely? If that's the case -or if you have any reason to save a group of pages under one bookmark—, Mozilla comes to the rescue again.

You can save all of your open tabs to a single bookmark. With the Mozilla Suite, click the Bookmarks Menu, select "Bookmark this Group of Tabs" and assign a name and place for your bookmark. To open the set, just select the bookmark in the Bookmarks menu or Personal toolbar.

In Mozilla Firebird (preview technology), select the Bookmarks menu and click on "Add to Bookmarks" (or just press Ctrl + D). In the "Add bookmark" dialog window, check "Bookmark all tabs in a folder," change the name if necessary, and save it in a convenient location. To open it, just select the appropriate folder in the Bookmarks menu and click "Open in tabs".

(Note: Mac users should use the Command key instead of Ctrl)

Mozilla Links PowerTip: Start Mozilla Your Way (contributed by MozillaTips.com, edited by Percy Cabello)

You can get Mozilla and Mozilla Firebird behave in some particular way during startup using command line parameters.

To avoid loading the splashscreen, open a console window, change to the folder where Mozilla is installed, and run:

mozilla -nosplash

To start with a specific profile, run:

mozilla -Profile

In Windows, you can also edit a Mozilla shortcut to include any of these parameters in the command string. You can create a different shortcut for every user profile!

Many of the parameters available also work for Mozilla Firebird and Netscape. Just locate the appropriate "mozillafirebird" or "netscp" instead of "mozilla" and append the appropriate parameters and values.
