Document Freedom Day 2010 in The Netherlands
Document Freedom Day is a global day for document liberation. It will be a day of grassroots effort to educate the public about the importance of Open Document Formats and Open Standards in general. Every year on the last wednesday in March, we celebrate his day. This year in The Netherlands in conferencecentre "Het Brandpunt" in Baarn, the former residence of the Dutch queen, we will have five speakers who will talk about the importance of open documents and open standards for the Dutch government (Netherlands Open in Connection), music industry (Bjorn Wijers), digital heritage (Digital Heritage Netherlands) and what their solutions can do for you to liberate your documents in your office (KOffice) and how your corporate identity will look like in the several available office suites nowadays (Officeshots.org). Visit the Document Freedom Day 2010 website for more info, and send us a message if you want to be added to the map of Document Freedom Day-enthusiasts or if you want to support us by linking to our site (see our linkbacks)! The presentations will be taped (if speakers agree), and be put online, just like last year. Send us a message if you want to help subtitle and translate the videos Greetings, Document Freedom Day Netherlands |
