Novell to Acquire Tally Systems Corp.
SALT LAKE CITY, BrainShare(R) 2005, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Novell (Nasdaq: NOVL) today announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Tally Systems Corp. of Lebanon, N.H., a leading expert in IT asset management solutions, to expand its Novell(R) ZENworks(R) systems management offering. Tally Systems offers a set of integrated tools with discovery and inventory, license management, and software usage and trend analysis capabilities. As a result, customers benefit from a powerful management platform to track systems, information and assets across the enterprise, as well as enable compliance with software licenses and government regulations, such as the Sarbanes Oxley Act. Novell expects to close the transaction by the middle of April. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
