KDE Student Programs is happy to present our 2018 Google Summer of Code students to the KDE Community. Students will work on improving KStars for Android. The development team behind the Fedora-based Korora Linux operating system announced earlier this month that they are taking a break from developing their GNU/Linux distribution.

I had a fascinating job once that involved designing hardening procedures for systems we were going to use for security-related projects. This was probably 15 years ago, and not only were guides a little thin on the ground for the Linux distribution I was using, but what we were doing was quite niche.
