I like some things about all Linux Desktop Environments. But my favorite is LXDE. For me, it is about customization. I want my desktop my way. And I want it running on a stable distribution. So I was pleased to come across LXLE. Now we are talking. A LXDE desktop with window preview and tiling. Yet, it is easy on resources and very functional. And no compiz! This is LXDE on steroids without any side effects.

Linux Kernel 3.10.7 Is Now Available for Download

A few minutes ago, August 15, Greg Kroah-Hartman announced that the seventh maintenance release for the 3.10 LTS branch of the Linux kernel is available for download. Linux kernel 3.10.7 is a pretty big release that brings PowerPC enhancements, updated drivers (including DRM ones), as well as improvements to the EXT4, CIFS, ReiserFS and Btrfs filesystems.

ZRAM Might Finally Be Moved Out Of Linux Staging

OpenStack will be making many minor improvements, but adding Amazon Web Services API support won't be one of them. Businesses love OpenStack. Google: Gmail users shouldn't expect email privacy
