Aethera and Citadel: cross-platform, end-to-end open source groupware

The Aethera project and the Citadel project have joined forces to create the world's first cross platform, end-to-end, open source groupware system. This week, Aethera 1.2.0 has been released, which is the first version containing support for Citadel servers. This support will be expanded in the coming months to include a more robust feature set. As for the Citadel system itself, it is a powerful open source messaging and collaboration system that, surprisingly, doesn't get the attention it deserves in the Linux and Open Source press. It's powerful, scalable, and extremely easy to install.
