Mandrake 10.1 Community is a preview of Mandrake 10.1. For those who live on the edge, that means it's a buggy, early version of the upcoming 10.1 release. The main features are pretty much locked in, only bug fixes will be applied from here out. It's up to folks in the community, however, to try it out and report those bugs. Those community members do for you, so your release can be stable and bug free.

I'm testing it on a few systems already, and have not bumped by head against any bugs. Perhaps this is subjective, but it seems faster than 10.0 on the same hardware.

S3 suspend on my laptop works for the first time with this new kernel (billed as "2.6.8.1", it's a 2.6.8 that's been souped up to probably post-2.6.9 for most things, Mandrake seem to love patching the kernel lots).
Oh, yes... and TrueType fonts look even nicer than they already did.
If the bug thing is true then all I can say is it's about bloody time :)
