What a strange headline and story arc...

If you read the article, it actually says (in spite of itself, perhaps) that business is making use of Linux, that Linux is a safe, even boring choice, and that Open Source software (using MySQL and Apache as examples) is being used by enterprises worldwide, even to the point of being dominant platforms.

And - oh yes. It isn't for everyone.

Well, DUH!

DoDo, Please! go away.

When you get any experience with supporting or managing an IT facility, come back and give us your opinion. Right now you have no clue and consequently your are worthless. We are really really sick of all your rubbish.
This Laura DiDio (I think you mean her) probably clicked on the "Get the facts" link / advertisement in the middle of this story, where MS is telling you that "Linux doesn't add up to a lower TCO" and "Windows is more secure than Linux". That kind of advertisement in Linux stories should be forbidden! Sure, it's laughable they make advertisements for windows in articles telling you Linux is the better solution, but I just hate that fancy lying "Get the fud" campaign!
