Trying to litigate Linux is like attempting to juggle warm jello. Just as soon as you think you have a feel for it, it changes form and you have to devise a new plan of action....and then you have to hire someone to mop up the Jello. There is no “International Linux Corporate Headquarters”, nor is there a Board of Directors or any number of steely-eyed shareholders to contend with. Ballmer needs to see this!

Ballmer really has to see this. I would love to see some kind of a reply to that, however naive even thinking that he'd do that is..

I think this story is one of those who need all the attention they can get. It really in a rather unique way presents some of the core problems we face today which all seem to be related to MS directly or indirectly as its cause, from DRM/TC to the ongoing proprietary software monopoly that they have with Windows.

People need to know!

And it would sure be great to see just what would Ballmer have to say to this straight up, direct message sent to him.

I put it to Digg: http://digg.com/linux_unix/Dear_Mr._Ballmer

Ballmer and Butthead

"NOBODY likes Steve and Bill any more it would seem. The fearsome Ballmer and Gates twosome who run Microsoft have obliterated the competition as if their lives depended on it. Scott McNealy, Sun Microsystems boss, simply called them Ballmer and Butthead." http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article/0,,2095-2199881,00.html
Quoting:He ticked off a list of companies that have fallen under Microsoft's wheels, eliciting gasps when he named internet pioneer Netscape - whose fall was later found to have been caused by Microsoft abusing its monopoly power.
