The Portland Project has released a beta version of its programming interfaces for the Gnome and KDE Linux environments. This is designed to boost development of desktop Linux applications by creating common application programming interfaces (APIs) for developers to use.

Damn you and your edits, tuxchick!!

I was about to get right behind you on this. How dare anyone try to unify APIs!! Obviously an underhanded Microsoft tactic to leave us all staring blankly at walls, rudderless without KDE sux/GNOME sux to hone the razor edge of our anti-Redmond rapiers.

Hang together or die, my big fat middle-aged a**! Power to the people! Together never!!

And then you go and do something like this.
