What a bunch of childish behavior - poor me. We should throw a pity party. What's going to happen to you has happened to just about every open source group that's sold their souls to the devil (venture capitalists). Keep the VC's out of the business I say. They'll work your butt off and then when they do the funding, they'll want you to give up your stock and then "re-earn" it. You'll wind up with nothing and they'll get everything. You have a project, if it doesn't cash flow on it's own, it's not viable. Hey, this isn't medicine - it's software. If you can't make a living with your product from the get go - then do something else. Besides, everyone I know, including myself said "Linux needs this". I wound up discovering that Linux will do fine and it doesn't "need" your stuff. |
