Thanks for the great article. I've read about and experienced a lot of what you have discussed and it all makes perfect sense. Until Linux and open source can find a way of marketing themselves to the emotive decision makers rather simply than winning the hearts of the technical implementors things as you say will remain static. And to top it off unfortunately in the short/medium term there doesn't appear to be a 'year 2000' like event approaching that would cause (or force) major change in the industry... |
