Is there anyone, anywhere who still believes laws are written for the good of citizens? Over and over we see laws written and rammed through by those corporations which can afford the price of access. What is good for some current corporation's business model of today is not necessarily what is good for society or even the global economy, long-term, regardless of that corporation's ability to influence current law-makers. |

> Is there anyone, anywhere who still believes laws are written for the good of citizens? Wrong group, Grouch. The correct question here is, is there anyone who ever did? |

PS. Two things stand out from the story.
Only "several hundred people" attended, and, not a word of it was reported on the main channels in the UK. Not a word. Never underestimate peoples capacity to not give a damn about their own rights until they're on their knees with a gun barrel in the back of their head (either figuratively or literally). At which point it's too late. |
